Welcome to the North Staffordshire Group of the Geologists’ Association (NSGGA).

The NSGGA is the regional group of the Geologists’ Association in North Staffordshire.

Lecture meetings are held during the autumn and winter, at 7.30pm usually on the second Thursday of the month. Due to coronavirus restrictions, lectures will be held online via Zoom for at least the remainder of Winter 2020/21. NSGGA members will receive a Zoom link via email, non-members can request a link via the contacts page.

Field meetings are usually held at approximately monthly intervals over the spring and summer. Hopefully the field programme will recommence in mid-late Summer 2021.

2021/2022 Winter Programme:
The Winter Lecture Programme for 2020/2021 has now concluded.
Details of the programme for Winter 2021/2022 will appear here over the summer.

On advice of the national GA, the North Staffordshire Group of the Geologists’ Association is postponing their field meetings for 2021, in line with government advice.

We will provide an update for the mid-late summer 2021 field season in the April Bulletin
